Melisa is a sophomore at the U and is currently working towards a BA in Biology with minors in Health Management and Policy, Spanish, and Chemistry on the Pre-med track. Melisa began her journey as a Model UN delegate in 2017 within the high school circuit. Last year, Melisa joined the Miami Model UN team, and chaired her first committee at MICSUN IX. After thoroughly enjoying her chairing experience, Melisa knew she wanted to be fully immersed in the MICSUN X process. Outside of MUN, Melisa is currently a Student Researcher at the University of Miami Psychology Department and enjoys spending time with her friends at the beach or exploring new restaurants in Miami! Tim is a second-year undergraduate at University of Miami, majoring in International Studies and Computer Science with minors in Political Science, Geography & Sustainable Development, and Math. As a South Florida native, he is no stranger to competitive MUN circuits, and even competed at MICSUN when he was in high school! He is ecstatic to serve as the Director General this year. Tim has previously served as the co-chair in the World Health Organization during MICSUN IX. Tim enjoys traveling with the Miami MUN team during their competitive season, and with the UDebate team as well! In his free time, he enjoys learning German, gardening, and going to music festivals!

Having participated in Model UN conferences across the world from India to Bosnia to the United States, our USG for General assembly posses a wide array of organizational experiences and cultural knowledge to this year’s conference. Currently pursuing majors in political science and sociology-criminology and a minor in Environmental Systems and policy, the subject topics help them approach thinking about global events and crises through various paradigms which translates to the wide range of committees in our roster and solutions we hope to see at this year’s conference. Outside of their academic commitments, they heavily enjoy art in all its various forms, from Wassily Kandinsky, to Don Hertzfeldt to Martin Margiela as well as discovering music artists from every corner of the world.

A sophomore at the U, Hadi is from Naples, Fl, and is pursuing a B.S. in Biology with minors in History, Health Management and Policy, and Biological Physics on the Pre-Med track. He has been involved in MUN since 2017 and was a crisis director at MICSUN IX last year. Currently, Hadi also serves as the Secretary-General of MDMUN 2023. Outside of MUN, Hadi is a member of the Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity, serves as a Dean’s Ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences, and works as a tutor for the U’s Pre-Health office. Naila is a sophomore at UM from Ft.Lauderdale, Florida and is currently pursuing a BS in Accounting and Finance with minors in Data Analytics and Sustainable Business. She has been doing Model UN for 5 years now, beginning in the high school circuit and now competes with UM’s travel team. Outside of Model UN, Naila does research for the accounting department in the business school and is a senator in Student Government. She loves to read books, hang out with friends and family and go swimming. Naila is excited to be serving as this year’s USG on Finance and looks forward to meeting you all! Molly is a second year student from Indianapolis. She is currently studying Chemistry, with minors in Education, Spanish, and Physics. Molly joined Model UN as a way to improve her public speaking skills but stays on the team to be able to see new cities with her teammates. Last year, during MICSUN IX, Molly served as Chair of the UNICEF committee and is excited to be this year’s USG of Logistics at MICSUN X! Outside of Model United Nations, Molly works at UM’s Toppel Career Center helping students review their resumes and find jobs. Samaranjay is a sophomore at UM from Missouri. He is pursuing a degree in mathematics and economics. Samaranjay joined Model UN as a way to get involved on campus as well as practicing public speaking. He currently serves as the social chair for the organization and is looking forward to being the USG of Outreach at MICSUN X. Outside of Model UN, he’s involved with different cultural clubs and loves to watch TV.
