Commission on the status of women: Residual Effects of Egalitarian Movements, 2022
Internationally, there has been a recent surge in protests against cultural traditions, common beliefs, and societal discrepancies against women. In a world of crisis, feminist movements cultivated primarily by Western ideals have resulted in unprecedented effects on traditional cultural and governmental processes. Throughout this committee, we will be exploring the political and economic effects of such protests. While taking a heavy emphasis on culturally based feminist conflicts in Eastern nations, as these are the most prominent feminist protests currently happening today, we must also discover the consequences and benefits of international abortion protests & violence against women in Western nations. Looking at this from a financial, governmental, and cultural standpoint, countries must come together to work towards lessening conflicts and providing multifaceted solutions. Understanding this, to what extent should the international community focus on furthering egalitarianism with reference to national sovereignty and traditional cultural ideologies?
